Really nice to set everything to very high/ 100%/enable everything and still get playable framerate (although I will probably keep Draw distance around 50% to get higher, smooth frames). With the Nvidia options enabled, I get roughly 3 fps less (altough I dont really see any difference vs disabled, dont know if these options even work on AMD?). I will experiment further.Īnd still, water or blood on the screen flickers, and everything flickers when I enable AA. This stuttering when moving suddenly was not there with one GPU. My VRAM is not full and RAM is not full (I have 16GB 1600mhz) and installed Dying Light on a SSD, so it is not directly effident to me if there is a bottleneck with my pc when I make sudden turns/moves. Amazing work! I just sometimes have the stutter when I make sudden movements, which seems to me like some sort of loading problem. ![]() Just played a bit again, and with the same settings except shadows now on VERY HIGH and Draw Distance at 100%(!), and got no lower than 40 FPS while running from the tower to the blown up bridge. Sometimes when I turn around, the game freezes for a second and then comes alive again, it is more jittery in my experience with Crossfire enabled.įeel free to PM me for more questions or details, as I would gladly help you with the further improvement of Dying Light. It looks a little bit like the effect you added to clothing which make it seem like it is fluttering in the wind, but then it also aplies to threes, and actually everything more then 10 meters away. The blood on the screen still flickers though, and I have to disable anti-aliasing as well to stop some things from sort of vibrating. This all of course, with Vsync disabled, full screen (so sorry for the amature mistake), everything on high, Nvidia features disabled, and Draw distance at around 20%. My GPU usage on both cards now stays above 70%, and it could be that it can not get any higher due to a CPU bottleneck on my pc(I dont really mind, as long as it stays at a minimum of 60). With the Beta, i get 60/70 FPS in front of the Tower, and 85 when looking up in the sky. Now, without the beta patch I got right before the tower 55 to 60 fps, and looking straight up in the sky gave me 105. I am terribly ashamed, but I think the option for full screen wasnt enabled my previous run as the result of to much alt+tab-ing, and as a result crossfire was not enabled. What was your framerate before the patch and what you're after patch? What was your framerate before the patch and what you're after can try using the beta, but your laptop must support SLI / CROSSFIRE, not only have the Intel HD GPU + dedicated gpu. ![]() Also, the game feels a little less smooth.ĬPU utilization is extremely well tough, all my cores are used to the max(but has nothing to do with this beta I think, as this was the case already after the latest patch). It looks like the game balances the work load across both GPU's, but it does not increase the instructions for the GPU's compared to one GPU. Also, both of my GPU's stay under 50% usage, also when I push the settings of the game higher, the utilization still stays below 50% and the game gets unplayable fps. In-game, everything works fine except for when there is blood on the screen, that flickers. The main menu background sort of vibrates. In game settings: Everyting on high, Nvidia options off, view distance around 20%. ![]() Please make sure you have selected 'devtools_test_04_23' beta patch before testing and submitting your feedback.ĪMD Radeon 7990 with driver 15.4 beta (With crossfire profile for Dying Light) Instructions on how to contact us and gather all the required information are in this thread. ![]() If you still experience performance issues on multi-GPU SLI/Crossfire setups after applying the patch, please contact our support, along with additional technical information (such as DXDiag files and game logs). PLEASE NOTE: The patch works only for Windows version of DL. Our team would be really grateful for your feedback, as it will ensure the patch will work for those affected, and ensure smooth experience with Dying Light. Should you want to revert back to normal, just select ‘None - opt out of beta programs’ in the aforementioned ‘Betas’ tab. Then, go to the ‘betas’ tab, and input zPWsyP5BJ7cn423 as your beta code. To access the patch, go to Steam->Library, find and right-click Dying Light, and go to ‘properties’. If you’ve been experiencing performance issues on said hardware setups, please try out a beta patch (available below) and let us know if it helped in the thread below. We have been working on improving the performance of Dying Light on multi-GPU setups, specifically SLI and Crossfire.
